Ultra Thick Glass/Acrylic
Ultra thick glass is an emerging material trend.  This is being used in dinner ware, but the most extreme versions are being used in tabletop accessories, lighting and accent tables.  A number of the extremely thick versions are using acrylic, but some are glass; both materials tend to be heavy in weight and a part of the playing with depth perception which has been popular in wall art.  This also conveys the message that the product is high quality.
